I thought it would be good to list the things Bubba loves and dislikes at different stages because she is constantly evolving now and I'll look back and not be able to remember. So here goes...at fourteen months she...

  • Can climb stairs unaided (bit of a shock first time I left gate open and found her on stair four).
  • Has 12 teeth (looks like two more trying to push through)
  • Goes and gets shoes and tries to put them on
  • Wakes between 3am to 4am briefly
  • Has gone off all veg (was veg monster before)
  • Goes mad for the smelliest cheese and fish possible - now I like it strong but the girl can out eat me!
  • Says daddy really well and just shrieks Dadda at me when she wants my attention. 'look' and 'what's that' (although that's not so clear.) are her other words. As she points at everything
  • Stands up in her cot, throws rag over side and waits till it's picked up
  • Wants to climb on everything...Everything!
  • Loves blueberries
  • Loves her food and will try anything put in front of her (at least once anyway).
  • Hates having her face covered and doesn't do hats!
  • Dislikes being strapped in after a while (once she realises she can be free)
  • Understands a lot more than I realised and is fairly smart (it won't be long before she starts outwitting me).
  • Is discerning at who she waves at (usually the back of people as they disappear).

Things I've discovered about us with a fourteen month old.
  • I need more sleep regardless of how long I've had (I'm like a hibernating bear!)
  • Hubby is more resilient and upbeat about things and is harder to get down
  • He has taken to coffee (previously would not touch hot drinks)
  • I sing a lot (who knew) and dance. Music is important to me but I never realised how much until Bubba arrived
  • I'm more emotional than ever before
  • I like having a 14 month old (I struggled more when she was younger). Every day now is fun (even if only for a moment)
