Crafty Corner - Homemade Pictures

We are decorating our conservatory at the moment and I want to make it into a fun playroom to put all Bubba's toys in and also a base so she can flit in and out into the garden in the summer months. I've gone super bright walls (people who walk in say things like 'Oh gosh, those walls are very pink!'). We have pink, blue and yellow walls. I love it all and hubby has started to get used to it!

To break up the pinkness I've decided to decorate the walls with pictures that I've made myself so I found some cute and cheap white and pink frames in Primark for £1.50 and put some button artwork in them.

I got myself some spare material and a bag of buttons from Hobbycraft which has a great array of coloured and different size buttons (Hobbycraft for £1).

I used a pastry cutter in the shape of a star and drew this onto a plain piece of A4 paper. I then added my buttons to the template to make sure they fitted and actually looked like a star.

Next I drew in faint pencil onto my material and took each button off individually and sewed them onto the same place in the star. This may not be the easiest way to do it but I've found its the way I work best.
